The following information is drawn from Enterprise episodes, novels, and short stories, except where otherwise noted. Speculative dates are marked as such, and explanations are given. This information is not intended to be authoritative, merely a guide, and other interpretations of events are possible.

Includes detailed analyses of "Broken Bow" through "Unexpected" and "Shockwave, Part II" through "A Night in Sickbay", and basic information through "Storm Front, Part II". Also includes a detailed analysis of the short story "Preconceptions" (SNW VI) and basic information from the short story "A Girl for Every Star" (SNW V).

The Past

Vulcans learn to overcome their emotions after centuries of savage conflict ["Shockwave, Part II"].
No precise timeframe for this was given, but it is also "centuries ago" from 1957 ["Carbon Creek"].

A book is written in a particular language. At some point after the book is written, the civilization that created the book dies out ["Exile"].
The book was written "over a thousand years" before the episode, according to Tarquin.

A spherical station is constructed ["Anomaly"].

The Loque'eque become sterile. Unable to reproduce, they develop a mutagenic virus designed to transform any alien who encounters it into a Loque'eque, complete with certain knowledge about the geography of the planet and images of the main city ["Extinction"].

Before 1750

Tarquin is born. At some point after his birth, he is discovered to be telepathic and is exiled to a new planet. His parents give him a telepathy-enhancing orb ["Exile"].

1823

December 23: The Sentinel, a New York newspaper, publishes Clement C. Moore's poem, "A Visit From St. Nicholas". The poem will in later years come to be known as "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" [Historical Accounts].
Archer jokingly suspects the Kreetassans will make him recite this poem while standing on one foot with his eyes shut, as part of their reconciliation demands ["A Night in Sickbay"].

c. 1850

The Suliban homeworld becomes uninhabitable. The species becomes mostly nomadic, though some assimilate into other cultures ["Detained"].
About 300 years ago.

A couple from Vega Reticuli weds ["Two Days and Two Nights"].
300 years before February 2152. But Vega Reticulan years might not be the same length as Earth years.

A stand of alvera trees are planted outside the Hall of Diplomacy on a Kreetassan planet ["A Night in Sickbay"].
The trees are over 300 years old, and are considered a cultural treasure.

Several people are abducted from Earth by a group of Skagarans. They are taken to a new planet ["North Star"].
About 300 years ago.

Cooper Smith, one of the Humans abducted by the Skagarans, leads a revolt and overthrows the oppressors of the Humans ["North Star"].

June 19: Moses Horwitz is born in Bensonhurst, New York. He will take a stage name of "Moe Howard" and become one of the Three Stooges [Historical accounts].
Mrs. Garrett's son compared Stron to Moe in 1957 ["Carbon Creek"].

According to the sign over the front door.

Singer Jerry Lee Lewis, releases his second single, "Crazy Arms"; the song was written by Ralph Mooney and Chuck Seals [Historical Accounts].
The song will be played on the radio in 1957 ["Carbon Creek"].

Before 1957

Maggie's husband leaves her and their son, Jack. He will write to Jack occasionally ["Carbon Creek"].

Maggie's husband moves to Phoenix, and he stops writing to Jack ["Carbon Creek"].
This was the last time Maggie heard from him, as of 1957.

1957

Jack gets a partial merit scholarship to go to college ["Carbon Creek"].
Apparently happened recently.

October 4: Sputnik I, Earth's first artificial satellite, is launched [Historical accounts].

A Vulcan ship travels to Earth to investigate the launch or Sputnik I. There is a malfunction aboard the ship in their third week of gathering information ["Carbon Creek"].

Episode 28: "Carbon Creek" [flashback/story]

The Vulcan ship crash-lands on Earth, six kilometers outside of Carbon Creek, Pennsylvania. The Captain is killed, leaving T'Mir in command of the remaining crew. On the way down, they try to send a distress signal, but the equipment is damaged on the way down and, although they do not know if the signal was sent, a Tellarite freighter picks it up and forwards it to Vulcan High Command.

Six days later, they eat the last of their emergency rations. After five days without food, two deer walk by; Mestral suggests that they could kill one and eat it, but the T'Mir declines. Mestral instead sets off for the nearby town, which has a population of 611 according to Carbon Creek's welcome sign. T'Mir follows. The two of them steal clothing in an attempt to fit in with the Humans.

On their way to a local eatery, they pass three men listening to a baseball game on a car radio (Dixon hits a ball to right field; Ellis throws it to Wilcox at home plate, who is struck by the Thompson, the runner; Wilcox held onto the ball and Thompson is out).
According to Major League Baseball, there were no such four players in 1957, so this is presumably a local game.

The two find a pool hall, the Pine Tree, which also serves food, playing the song "Crazy Arms". T'Mir asks for something free; Maggie, the bartender, gives her peanuts and water. Mestral challenges another patron to a game of pool, and wins several games in a row. He and T'Mir buy several frozen dinners with his earnings.

The third Vulcan, Stron, the ship's warp field engineer, takes up work as a plumber while waiting to be rescued. Mestral works at the local mine; T'Mir works at Pine Tree.

A nuclear device is tested just after 5:30 near White Sands, New Mexico.
According to various nuclear test databases, all U.S. nuclear testing in 1957 and 1958 took place in Nevada or the Pacific or Atlantic Oceans. Possibly this was a clip from July 16, 1945, being aired in 1957 as part of a news story.

Jack tells Mestral that he wants to study Mechanical Engineering at college, if he gets to go. His mother says he will, and points out the jar where patrons donate to Jack's college fund.

On a Wednesday, for the third time that week, Stron is called over to fix Mrs. Garrett's sink, while her son calls him Moe. Mestral suggests that Mrs. Garrett may favor Stron's company. T'Mir asks Stron to help her build a subspace transciever, but Stron believes it's impossible. T'Mir berates Mestral for excessive television-watching, but Mestral says he's doing research and suggests that T'Mir would have a better view of Humans if she would take more time to observe them. Mestral goes to the ship, ostensibly to get an wave form discriminator, hoping to return home that night to watch "I Love Lucy".
This scene takes place on a Wednesday because "I Love Lucy" aired Wednesday nights at 7:30pm ET between September 1957 and May 1958.

Instead of going to the ship, however, Mestral meets up with Maggie in her car, and she drives him to a nearby baseball game in Doylestown. Maggie asks what Mestral is hiding under his cap, but thinks she may have offended him and withdraws the question. Mestral, then, asks what happened to Maggie's husband. She tells him, then kisses him; he finds it "very pleasant". T'Mir sees Mestral in Maggie's car, Maggie sees T'Mir, and Mestral leaves. T'Mir confronts him about lying and engaging in intimate contact with a local, but since an apparently significant amount of time has passed, Mestral decides that the mission is over and that T'Mir is no longer in charge.

When cleaning up at the Pine Tree, T'Mir begins meditating, and is interrupted by Jack. He asks her about meditation, and they discuss his library history and habits.

Some time later, Mestral is working at the mine when Billy, a co-worker, calls over to him and invites him to a double-header baseball game the upcoming weekend; Tim, Gavin, Jack, and Maggie are also going. Mestral declines, and Billy starts to ask what's wrong with him recently, when an explosion occurs nearby, knocking everyone to the ground, and trapping at twelve men (though early reports suggest that twenty or more men may have been trapped). Rescue efforts begin almost immediately, but Mestral sets off to find T'Mir and Stron, and takes them to the Vulcan ship, where they look for a particle weapon in an armory case. Mestral estimates it could take several days to rescue the miners. T'Mir and Stron say that Mestral should not interfere, that the culture could be contaminated if anyone saw the weapon, and that Mestral's compassion, an emotion, is improper. Mestral says that he will help his friends and that the others shouldn't try to stop him. His words apparently affect T'Mir, because when Mestral returns to the mine with the weapon, T'Mir stands outside it with a scanner and a communicator, telling Mestral the best route to take to reach those trapped by the cave-in. She directs him to an abandoned shaft which provides access to an area which allows him to blast through to find the miners and rescue them.

That day, Mestral becomes a local hero.

1958

Episode 28: "Carbon Creek" [flashback/story]

Jack takes college board exams, and gets the highest score in the county ["Carbon Creek"].
Possibly the SAT, as the ACT is not founded until 1959 [Historical records]. Presumably happened his senior year of high school, and quite recently.

One evening, three months after the cave-in, T'Mir's communicator beeps, and Captain Tellus of the Vulcan survey vessel D'Vahl responds to the distress call. He tells them about the signal being picked up by the Tellarite vessel, and asks the stranded Vulcans to meet at their vessel in three days.

The following morning, Jack returns his mother's car to the Pine Tree and asks T'Mir, who is sweeping the front of the pool hall, whether the rumor that they're leaving is true. She says it is, that they're going home, "up north". Jack says he will miss her, that they were the most interesting people in town, and T'Mir responds by telling him he's sure to meet a lot of interesting people at college. Jack, however, says he won't be going to college, because the deadline for payment is Friday and even with the scholarship, he and his mother weren't able to collect enough money for him to go. Jack says he'll apply for the scholarship again next year, but there are no guarantees that it will be offered to him again. Maggie overhears part of their conversation and tells T'Mir about Jack's test scores.

Perhaps the same day, Stron terminates him employment, but he promises Mrs. Garrett that he will fix her vacuum.

T'Mir returns to the ship to fetch something, then takes a train to a nearby city, to introduce a businessman to an "invention that will change the world". Apparently she telephoned him first. She pulls from her purse a piece of cloth, folded in half, which sticks to itself until pulled apart. The businessman buys the invention from her for several hundred dollars, and she returns to Carbon Creek.

The next morning, Maggie comes down to the Pine Tree and greets T'Mir, who had already arrived. Maggie sees the college fund jar, which has had several hundred dollars added to it. She calls up to her son to wake him up and tell him the good news, while T'Mir observes her.

That evening, as Stron repairs Mrs. Garrett's vacuum, Mestral says it's a shame Stron will have left Earth without experiencing anything their culture has to offer; over Stron's objections, he says that there's more to Earth than alcohol, frozen fish sticks, and the constant threat of nuclear annihilation. Mestral claims that he plans to stay on Earth, to study what he sees as their upcoming technological and social advancements. Stron says that it is Mestral's duty to return to Vulcan and report his findings, but Mestral says there is still more to learn. T'Mir suggests that she could arrange to have him come on the next survey vessel, but Mestral doesn't want to wait years to return, only to be limited to taking readings from orbit.

A Vulcan scout vessel lands near the crash site. Captain Tellus inquires after the captain and Mestral; T'Mir lies by telling him that Mestral also died in the crash, and that both of their bodies had been cremated. Stron and T'Mir enter the vessel, which returns to the D'Vahl.

After "Carbon Creek" flashback/story

The D'Vahl returns to Vulcan ["Carbon Creek"].
Presumably happens soon after the ship leaves Earth orbit.

Mestral remains on Earth ["Carbon Creek"].

Earth plans to send a second group of 200 settlers to Terra Nova, but the first colonists object ["Terra Nova"].

Jonathan Archer sees a gazelle give birth in East Africa. Within minutes, the baby gazelle was walking along its mother ["Shockwave, Part II"].
Archer was in his early 20's when he saw this.

Travis Mayweather takes an interest in Terra Nova ["Terra Nova"].
This happens when he's a kid, probably between ages four and fifteen.

Henry Archer dies ["Broken Bow"; Deleted Scene, "Home"].
He didn't live to see the launch of Enterprise. The year is taken from a deleted scene at the end of "Home", and is thus non-canonical.

The Horizon travels to Trillius Prime ["Broken Bow", "Dead Stop"].
According to "Broken Bow", the trip took about three years, while Travis was in the fourth through sixth grades. According to "Dead Stop", Travis was born in 2125 or 2126. Assuming Travis starts fourth grade when he is eight or nine years old and leaves sixth grade when he is eleven or twelve, the trip starts sometime between 2133 to 2135 and ends sometime between 2136 and 2138.

15-year-old Charlie Tucker, along with 29 other students, is selected for the Summer honors program at Roykirk School. His class is to be taught by Doctor Yelena Marinin ["Preconceptions"].

Dr. Marinin is called away to consult on another project, being replaced as honors class instructor by Velik ["Preconceptions"].

Tucker's 10th grade biology teacher is a Vulcan, Mr. Velik. He teaches Trip to "Challenge your preconceptions, or they will challenge you" ["Strange New World"].
The short story "Preconceptions" tells one version of this event.

Short Story: "Preconceptions"

Spans six weeks.

Summer honors classes begin at Roykirk School. The members of Charles Tucker's class, none of whom have met a Vulcan before, are surprised to find their instructor replaced by one. On the first day of class, Trip says that "it's a well-known fact that Vulcans don't teach Humans anything", because Vulcans have not given Humans high-warp technology. Mr. Velik presents a hypothetical case of Vulcans providing Earth with such technology, concluding with "Preconceptions, Mr. Tucker. You must challenge your preconceptions, or they will challenge you." He sets an objective for the class to prepare at least three submissions to this year's Cherenko-Cochrane Competition. Charlie meets Chris. Over the next four days, each student in the class writes up a proposal for a project.

On the sixth day, Velik announces that the six projects worthy of pursuit for the competition include Charles Tucker's proposal on a new technique to protect warp engines from super-heated plasma. Chris is assigned to work with Charlie based on Chris's similar proposal. Over the next two weeks, they work together ten to twelve hours a day, not making much progress, but on the twentieth day, Trip has a breakthrough. They meet every Saturday after the lab closes to play basketball one-on-one before dinner

One Saturday, Charlie practices free-throws before Chris shows up. They discuss frustrations and what they gave up to participate in the summer program.

Velik contacts Dr. Maranin to return early from her project.

Charlie stays at the lab late the day before the project deadline. Mr. Velik, whose voice is hoarse, finds Trip there and informs his student that he will be returning to Vulcan soon and will not be there the following day. Charlie asks if his project made the cut but Velik refuses to tell him. The deadline for entering the competition passes.

The next day, Dr. Maranin takes over the class. She announces that none of the projects met with Velik's expectations to be submitted to the competition. An hour later, the first group presents their project to Maranin.

The day before they leave, Trip and Chris meet at the basketball court one last time. Chris will be leaving for Starfleet Academy. Trip dribbles the ball, and throws the ball from half court to spite Mr. Velik, who Trip feels misled him and the rest of the class; the ball goes straight through the net without hitting the rim.

After "Preconceptions"

Chris goes Starfleet Academy ["Preconceptions"].

Possibly extends more generations back than that; Malcolm was part of "a long line of navy men".

A repair facility abducts visitors, replacing them with deceased replicas ["Dead Stop"].
Most of the abductees have been there for "years".

Starfleet is founded ["Broken Bow"].

Phlox

Not long after he becomes a physician, Phlox is part of the first medical team to arrive at the explosion of a ship in orbit around his homeworld. There are 17 dead on the ship ["Fight or Flight"].

Phlox masters the call of the Pyrithian moon hawk ["A Night in Sickbay"].
"Years ago", according to Phlox.

Phlox marries three wives. Each of the wives has two husbands aside from Phlox ["A Night in Sickbay"].
The order in which the nine marriages mentioned here took place has not yet been specified. There are 720 relationships, with 42 containing romantic possibilities.

Phlox has five children: Two daughters (one surgeon, one biochemist) and three sons (one potter (who lives in the same town as his mother), and two with whom he hasn't spoken in many years) ["A Night in Sickbay"].
Presumably his wives actually bear the young, though this has not been confirmed.

Phlox teaches at a medical academy for years, and he finds the experience rewarding ["Fight or Flight"]. Phlox acquires six degrees in interspecies veterinary medicine, as well as degrees in dentistry, hematology, botanical pharmacology, and other fields, including psychiatry ["A Night in Sickbay"].

Phlox joins the Interspecies Medical Exchange ["Broken Bow"].

Phlox arrives on Earth as part of the Interspecies Medical exchange. Among other things, he will try Chinese food ["Broken Bow"].

Reed

Malcolm Reed's great-uncle, who suffers from aquaphobia, joins the British Navy and has a distinguished career in the submarine service, facing his deepest fears. Malcolm idolizes him. The uncle is promoted to Chief Engineer on the H.M.S. Clement. The ship hits a mine left over from a world war and is trapped underneath an ice shelf. The uncle seals himself into the engine room and keeps the reactor running long enough for the rest of the crew to escape, according to his lieutenant ["Minefield"].

Malcolm Reed earns the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts ["Rogue Planet"].

Malcolm Reed is raised on the water. He learns how to handle a boat before riding a bicycle. He studies great naval battles. But he has an irrational fear of drowning (aquaphobia) ["Minefield"].

Malcolm Reed decides to join Starfleet rather than serving in the British Navy as his father and grandfather had, due to aquaphobia ["Minefield"].

Mayweather

Mr. and Mrs. Mayweather travel with their son, Travis, on the freighter Horizon ["Fortunate Son"] for 23 years ["Fight or Flight"]. They very infrequently run into problems ["Fight or Flight"]. Travis's father kept the ship at 0.8G ["Broken Bow"]. Travis visits Draylax, and the two Teneebian moons ["Broken Bow"]. The ship encounters an escape pod which had been drifting for 63 years, and assistant engineer George Webb, a friend of Travis's uncle, is assigned to open it; a few days later, Webb starts acting crazy, temporarily disables the ship, and enters an escape pod of his own ["Strange New World"].

Travis Mayweather works under Jonathan Archer on two other vessels [Broken Bow].
This data point from the novelization would seem to have been contradicted by later episodes.

Archer

Jonathan Archer starts going out with a woman whose mother has a beagle that Archer loves. He later breaks up with his girlfriend but continues to see the beagle. The beagle becomes pregnant and has a litter which includes four male puppies; they are named after the Four Musketeers. The mother calls Jon, who picks up Porthos six weeks after birth ["A Night in Sickbay"].

Archer has a commanding officer who feels that officers should not fraternize with their inferiors ["Minefield"].
"They're your crew, not your friends", the commanding officer reportedly said. Presumably before Archer was promoted to Captain.

Archer and Tucker

Hoshi

April 17: Silik again contacts FutureGuy. Enterprise enters the atmosphere of the gas giant, finding a Suliban helix consisting of hundreds of small vessels. One Suliban pod is grappled by Enterprise, and the pilot ejects. Mayweather studies the commands on the pod and teaches Tucker how to fly it; he and the captain travel to the helix and rescue Klaang. Archer uses a device to detach all the vessels from the helix, and Tucker and Klaang escape on their bod. Archer discovers the temporal chamber; Archer is beamed back by Tucker.

April 17: Mayweather estimated Enterprise's arrival at Qo'noS, based on the starcharts the Vulcans provided. However, the complications of the Suliban attack and the detour to Rigel X delay this estimate.

April 20: Enterprise returns Klaang to Qo'noS.
Assumes no further delays after the detour to Rigel and the gas giant, and the return to their previous course.

Episode 3: "Fight or Flight"

May 2: More power is routed to Sick Bay. Hoshi requests that her quarters, on E-deck, starboard section 5, be exchanged with Ensign Porter on the port side of the ship, since "the stars are going the wrong way". Reed uses an asteroid belt for target practice, to check the simulations. He begins re-focusing the infrared scanner to compensate for errors in the trial.

May 3: Enterprise finds an abandoned vessel (later learned to be Axanar), made of tritanium and disilicon polymers, and upon entering the vessel, Hoshi finds fifteen dead bodies, being drained of their. Archer decides to leave the ship, based on T'Pol's advice, and the ship leaves at warp 3.

May 4: T'Pol discovers a stellar nursery along Enterprise's course. T'Pol and Tucker have a meal with the captain, and during the meal, Archer reconsiders his decision to leave. After about five hours, Enterprise again arrives at the vessel.

1400 hours: Phlox, Archer, Tucker, and Hoshi suit up and take a shuttlepod to the vessel. Phlox performs a post-mortem on one body, discovering that the Axanar were killed to obtain triglobulin, generated by the zymuth gland. Triglobulin is like the human lymphatic fluid. Hoshi deciphers enough of the Axanar language to create and send the message "Ship in distress". The ship which previously attacked the Axanar vessel returns. The shuttlepod returns to Enterprise, barely making it inside when the alien vessel attacks. The attacks depolarize the port warp nacelle, and the aliens perform a submolecular bioscan. Another Axanar vessel arrives and, after conversation with Hoshi, saves Enterprise by destroying the attacking vessel.

May 5: Archer and crew meet with the Axanar and learn about their species.

May 6: Archer records a log entry about the events of the past couple days. Enterprise finds a planet with an argon atmosphere suitable for the slug, and Hoshi and Phlox take a shuttlepod down to the planet to give it a new home.

Between "Fight or Flight" and "Strange New World"

c. May 6: Enterprise sets course for a nebula, but changes course when an Earth-like planet is discovered ["Strange New World"].

Episode 4: "Strange New World"

May 8: Crewmen Cutler and Ethan Novakovich share breakfast in the mess hall. Enterprise arrives at the planet. An away team consisting of Archer, Tucker, T'Pol, Porthos, Cutler (whose specialty is entomology), Mayweather, and Novakovich. Archer and Porthos return to the ship.
Enterprise has been in deep space for three weeks, placing this episode around May 8.

Night: At dinner, Mayweather tells a ghost story. A storm comes in from the southwest, and the crew retire to their tents. A scorpion-like creature gets in Tucker and Mayweather's tent, and the crew travel to a nearby cave for protection. Travis goes back out to get food packs from their campsite, but hallucinates seeing three people out in the storm. Ethan hallucinates hearing voices in the cave, and runs out into the storm. Trip and Travis go after him, and Trip hallucinates seeing a creature come out of a rock. Later, Cutler also hallucinates hearing voices. Archer and Reed bring another shuttlepod down to rescue the crew, but a navigation mishap in the storm damages the pod and prevents it from landing, and they return to Enterprise without picking up the landing party.

The crew returns to the cave. Paranoia sets in in Trip, who suspects T'Pol of collaborating with the hallucinatory rock creatures. Reed beams up Novakovich, although the high winds impale Ethan with leaves, sand, and other debris during the beam-out procedure; the crewman is rushed to sickbay. Tucker and T'Pol each become more agitated. Phlox discovers that tropolisine, a psychotropic compound found in some flowering plants, is causing the hallucinations and paranoia; it most likely came in on the wind during the storm.

Travis's hallucinations intensify, as does Trip's paranoia; Trip sees his former science teacher, a Vulcan named Mr. Velik. Nine hours from dawn, Phlox discovers that his treatment of Ethan has resulted in a deadly side effect, when the tropolisine breaks down into a toxin. Archer convinces Trip to stand down, T'Pol stuns Tucker, and has Reed beam down a treatment for the toxin. T'Pol administers the treatment to all crewmen.

May 9: Tucker wakes up and makes amends to T'Pol. A shuttlepod is sent down to retrieve the away team.

After "Strange New World"

Novakovich's treatment continues, slowly making progress [By the Book].

Episode 5: "Unexpected"

May 10, Morning: Gravity goes out on E-Deck, and is restored after only a few moments. T'Pol and Phlox share breakfast, but the food synthesizer acts up. Meanwhile, the temperature on C-Deck drops to 12°C (54°F), and Ensign Almack tries to fix it. A power fluctuation in the starboard nacelle is another sign of a problem with the plasma exhaust. T'Pol finds a likely culprit, and Reed finds a ship with stealth technology. Archer contacts the ship, and discovers that they have been using Enterprise's plasma exhaust to replenish their teraphasic coils.

Tucker is given 40mg of mirazine to reduce the six-hour decompression cycle to three hours. Mayweather and Tucker take a shuttlepod to the alien vessel; Trip boards, and Travis returns to Enterprise. Tucker undergoes decompression, which involves a change in the air, among other things. Three hours later, he leaves the "acclimation chamber" and, slightly disoriented, greets two Xyrillians: Captain Trena'L, and Engineer Ah'Len. He declines the meal they've prepared for him.

Evening: Trip starts to work on the ship, but the disorientation of the decompression process catches up to him and he is unable to work. Archer calls Trena'L and requests that Tucker be allowed to rest; Trena'L suggests he rest for at least an hour, and Tucker does. When he awakens, Trip again declines food, but accepts water.

May 11: Trip begins working on aligning the injector cells to the primary coil, and bringing the ion matrix up to 0.5. While the coils regenerate over a couple hours, Tucker and Ah'Len visit a holographic chamber, and she shows him her homeworld, Thera, then shows him a telepathic game in a boat in the chamber. After describing each other's favorite foods (Tucker likes catfish; Ah'Len likes dutara root), she learns that Archer saved Trip's life about four years ago. They are called back to duty when the coils finish regenerating. Work continues.

May 13: Trip enters the decompression chamber, having been on the ship for three days, and Travis brings a pod back to pick him up three hours later. Meanwhile, Enterprise has been repaired from the damage the Xyrillians' ship caused.

May 14: Trip and Malcolm share breakfast, when the engineer discovers that a small growth has appeared on his left arm. Dr. Phlox examines him, and declares that Commander Tucker is pregnant. Captain Archer and T'Pol are informed of the situation, and they learn that the baby is not a true offspring of the commander, but rather a clone of Ah'Len.

May, day unknown: Tucker has an incident with another engineer, about the safety features of the safety bar and handrail of the open lift in Engineering.

May 19: The Xyrillian's engine goes off-line again, after working for six days. They eventually find a Klingon ship to follow.

May 21: Engineering Ensign Hart pulls out Tucker's chair for him. Archer records a log entry, stating that Enterprise has been searching for the Xyrillian ship for eight days. The Captain, Trip, and Dr. Phlox share lunch, including chicken tetrazini. Archer reveals that this pregnancy is, to the best of his knowledge, the first Human-alien pregnancy. T'Pol finds the Xyrillian ship, but is is hiding in the plasma wake of a Klingon battle cruiser. The Klingons attack when Enterprise attempts communication, and after discovering the Xyrillian vessel, Klingon Captain Volok orders his officers to kill the 35 members of the Xyrillian crew other than their captain. Archer is eventually able to convince the Klingons to break off their attack plans by revealing Trip's pregnancy.

Trip spends three hours in the decompression chamber with a group of Klingons, including Volok who works out a deal with Trena'L: Volok will spare the Xyrillians if they give him their holotechnology and adapt it to his ship's systems. Ah'Len and Trip are reunited, and Charlie explains the situation. The baby is safely removed from Commander Tucker, who then returns to Enterprise after another three hours of decompression. Later that evening, Tucker, Archer, and T'Pol share dinner, where T'Pol reveals that after checking the Starfleet database, she found that this was the first recorded instance of a Human male becoming pregnant.

T'Pol said that Enterprise had been at Qo'noS less than a month before, placing the end of this episode by May 21 (31 days after April 20).

Novel: By the Book

This novel spans about six days. "Strange New World" was "a few weeks ago" (page 190), and the novel ends with Enterprise two days away from their next destination. This story may take place either before or after "Terra Nova", but this chronology assumes that it is before. With that assumption, a timespan of May 31 through June 5 is likely.

Episode 6: "Terra Nova"

Travis finds some pictures in the ship's database from the S.S. Conestoga, including Captain Mitchell. Archer has lunch with Tucker and T'Pol, where they recount the history of Terra Nova, last heard from over 70 years ago.

Three hours, seventeen minutes later, Enterprise arrives at Terra Nova, and Archer, T'Pol, Reed, and Mayweather take a shuttlepod down to the planet, finding the colony. T'Pol analyzes the radiation levels and declares that they would have been at lethal levels 70 years ago. Reed finds another humanoid in the forest and follows him to a cave, and Archer and T'Pol join him. After Mayweather grabs a pair of flashlights from the shuttle, Reed and Archer enter the cave, eventually finding a clearing where several humanoids watch from above. When one of the creatures draws a pistol, Reed fires back, and he and Archer run back toward the entrance. Reed is hit on the way back, though Archer escapes. Another of the creatures runs out from the cave entrance and attacks Mayweather; T'Pol stuns him, and takes readings with her tricorder. T'Pol, Archer, and Mayweather reach the shuttlepod, and T'Pol reveals that the creatures were actually Humans.

Spans about two days. Exact placement is difficult, but this chronology assumes the next destination mentioned at the end of By the Book was Terra Nova, so a timespan of June 8 through 9 is likely.

Silik addresses T'Pol, who allows him and his men to come aboard ["Shockwave, Part II"]. Crewman Cutler rescues Porthos from a Suliban attempting to enter Archer's quarters [Shockwave]. Less than two hours later, a Suliban soldier finds the records taken from the Suliban vessel. The crew is confined to quarters, and the Suliban take command.

On Earth, Ambassador Soval reports that Enterprise is three days late for their rendezvous with the D'kyr, but reluctantly also states that Enterprise was escorted away by a number of vessels, when they were still too far outside of sensor range to identify.

Enterprise arrives at a Suliban Helix. Silik attempts to contact FutureGuy, but there is no response. Silik has Raan fetch T'Pol, who is brought to an interrogation chamber on the Helix and hooked up to several pieces of technology. Silik questions her, but T'Pol remains adamant that "the Vulcan Science Directorate has determined that time travel is impossible". It has been two days since Archer was taken back to April 2151 and returned by Daniels.

Back on Enterprise, Trip has found a way to communicate through the EPS grid to any doorbell on B-deck. He communicates with Reed first, then proceeds to work out how to connect to C-deck. T'Pol is returned to her quarters, badly shaken, and goes to bed. As she lays there, Archer's voice is heard, and a shadowy outline of his head appears. At first she refuses to believe that Archer is who he appears, but eventually she comes around. Archer tells her to go to Daniels' quarters.

Some time later, Trip has contacted C-deck and arranges a "conference call" with Reed, Hoshi, Mayweather, and T'Pol. They discuss how to escape, and Hoshi travels 40 or 45 meters through the EPS conduit shafts to Phlox's quarters, where he hands her a hypospray he's prepared, having already been contacted by the others. Hoshi travels on to the hallway outside Reed's quarters on B-deck, but when her shirt snags on a hitch, she is left topless; she opens Reed's door and enters, asking for a shirt and a refrain from comment. They let out several other crewmen.

Suliban patrol the corridors. Two of them come across T'Pol, huddled on the floor by the transporter, mumbling to herself and performing air-science. They grab T'Pol, who resists; Trip and Reed come out of ceiling hatches and hypo-spray the two attackers. Reed sets out for the next part of the plan; he's got 30 minutes to complete it.

Reed unlocks Daniels' quarters and enters, reaching into an extra-dimensional hole and pulling something out. He exits the room and is taken by two Suliban guards to the bridge. Silik and another Suliban beat Reed until he confesses that he doesn't know what the device is, but that he was told by Archer, before he left, to destroy it in order to not let it fall into Suliban hands. Meanwhile, Trip and T'Pol re-take Engineering and contaminate the antimatter stream. As Suliban soldiers respond to the problem, several large explosions occur throughout Engineering. Silik attempts to use the device on the Helix to contact FutureGuy, but is interrupted by Raan, who tells him that Enterprise is about to self-destruct and should be towed away from the Helix and out of the nebula. Silik continues to manipulate the device. The Suliban abandon ship and tow it away, Enterprise's nacellse leaking significantly. Explosions rock the ship... but Trip's pyrotechnics do little damage, and the ship resumes full power. Several Suliban cell ships approach but Enterprise continues on its way.

Silik pleads to the shaky signal, saying he's been trying to contact FutureGuy for two days with no answer; he seeks instructions, but suddenly Archer leaps through and assaults Silik. Archer destroys the communication device, takes the records back, and commandeers a cell ship. Enterprise is buffeted by fire from several cell ships, and just when the hull plating runs out, the shooting stops, and the Suliban vessels break off. Archer arrives in the commandeered Suliban vessel and comes aboard.

A few days later, Enterprise meets up with the D'kyr; Vulcans come aboard, and they open a channel to Ambassador Soval, Admiral Forrest, and their respective staffs on Earth. Archer tells a story about gazelles and T'Pol reminds Soval of the Vulcans' past. The Vulcans walk out of the room on Earth and leave the bridge of Enterprise. Forrest tells Archer that he will inform him of the Command Council's decision. Archer goes to bed.

Archer is awakened in the middle of the night by Admiral Forrest, who tells him that the Command Council decided that Enterprise will be allowed to continue its mission. Forrest says that nobody could believe T'Pol standing up for Archer. The Captain visits T'Pol's quarters, and is seen by Crewman Fuller. T'Pol is unconcerned, as she tends to be discreet. Archer fills her in on the Admiral's message and leaves her quarters. As he leaves, T'Pol tells him she still doesn't believe in time travel. Archer politely disagrees.

Enterprise undocks from D'kyr and they go their separate ways.

Between "Shockwave, Part II" and "Carbon Creek"

Reed recovers from his injuries ["Shockwave, Part II"].

Enterprise visits Tessik Prime. Crewman Fisher catches Regellian fever. Phlox innoculates the entire crew; the microbes they are injected with are expected to live for several weeks ["Dead Stop"].
This happened "last month"; if "Dead Stop" takes place in early May, then this probably occurred in early April.

Travis calls Hoshi down to decon, telling her that the Captain needed her to figure out how to communicate with a possibly sentient, gelatinous life-form. When Hoshi arrived, she found that it was only strawberry gelatin. Hoshi promises payback ["Dead Stop"].

Vulcan High Command requests an evaluation of Captain Archer from T'Pol ["Carbon Creek"].

Archer begins annual evaluations of his entire crew [Speculation].
In "Carbon Creek", he has started an evaluation of T'Pol; he schedules breakfasts with at least Ensign Mayweather (according to "Dead Stop") and Lieutenant Reed (according to "Minefield") soon thereafter. It is reasonable, therefore, to interpret these events as part of a something "bigger". However, this is only speculation and has not been explicitly confirmed on-screen.

April 12: T'Pol has been officially on the crew of Enterprise for exactly one year. She, the Captain, and Commander Tucker share a bottle of wine, T'Pol allowing for a small indulgence, under the circumstances. The previous record
